The 23rd International Safe Communities Conference Novi Sad, Serbia, 10-12 October 2017

From the 10th to the 12th October 2017, Novi Sad, Serbia, has hosted the 23rd International Conference on Safe Communities Safe Communities are an Essential Need for a Modern-day Society . The event has been led by Prof. Mirjana Milankov, MD, PhD, Chair Conference Organizing Committee. It took place in the Hotel Park of Novi Sad and gathered a large group of doctors, researchers, policy-makers in the field of Safe Community, Injury Prevention and Safety. All the professionals have been involved in meeting and workshops with experts in themes like health, quality of life, injury and violence prevention. The conference has been organized by National Center of Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion, International Safe Community Support Center from Novi Sad and International Safe Community Certifying Center from Stockholm. Prochild Onlus has participated with a presentation entitled How to prevent choking injuries in pediatric ages and with the video SafeFood4Children - Reducing the risk of choking in children- A MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) to teach how to prepare food .
